It's a cold, cold weekend here in LA so I think it fitting to relive a happy and sunny Ojai wedding from last summer! Catherine and Peter were a charm to work with. Catherine knew she wanted pops of color and a relaxed feeling but overall left the details up to the professional (me!). Their wedding was held at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa which is beautiful and spacious. You should of seen the full moon come up over that big white tent. The only thing more unreal was the fireworks show that Peter surprised Catherine with as they made their grand exit. Talk about outdoing himself! What a keeper – nice find Catherine. : )

Jackie & Marcus were married in late summer at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Talk about pretty venue....it was my first time working there and I had no idea that this gem was hidden in The Valley. Jackie chose a palette of green and white with touches of neutrals which was very fitting for the vibrantly colored Spanish style villa and surrounding grounds. They spent the night with their loved ones celebrating under the stars tucked away on a gorgeous ranch. Couldn't get much better. Congrats Jackie &n Marcus!

These 2 were married at Calamigos last May. They were super sweet and a charm to work with. They planned from Asia, where they work and live, but were still able to add in sweet touches of DIY to personalize the weding. I loved how dapper all the groomsmen looked in their ties and suspenders. And the indigo blue accents with those coral peonies...dreamy color combo if you ask me.

Today Kristen & Marcos' wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty! Talk about the ultimate California destination wedding…check out that ceremony backdrop. We're talking the Pacific Ocean for daaaayyysss. Can't go wrong with that! We combined driftwood, shells and succulents with soft colored seasonal flowers to achieve a bohemian beachy feel that Kristen desired for her special day. Check out the full feature here and thanks to Kelly Stonelake Photography for the lovely images.

These two had a sweet little wedding at Carondelet earlier this summer. They kept it low key, had a great spread of food by Whoa Nelly Caterers, brought in personal touches like table numbers made by Lizzy's dad and an arch made by Mike. They made it their own, paid attention to the details that were important to them and brushed aside the unnecessary. I recently ran into Lizzy and it was a treat to see her and relive some of the wedding details.

A wedding at the peak of peony season is always a good one. It's hard to go wrong with those lovely blooms. Michelle requested a sorbet color palette for her wedding held at Caltech. I lucked out with finding a slew of very pale colored yellow peonies, a variety I had never seen before, which combined with coral charms, white peonies, poppies and local garden roses to create the perfect color combination for her.

Very excited to share this wedding. I can't lie, it's been one of my faves from the year. The textures, the colors, the vessels...they just all came together swingingly. And a gorgeous backdrop at Adamson House along the Malibu coast to boot. It was that time of year when all the good stuff is in season at once – dahlias, peonies, sweet peas, poke weed, ranunculus, black berries, jasmine, etc. It's like a little slice of florist heaven. You can head on over to Grey Likes whom featured the wedding today or take a quick peek at my portfolio for more pictures. I promise they won't disappoint. Enjoy!

I love a colorful wedding. Especially one with rich and interesting tones. I'll be the first to admit that the blush trend that's been going on for a few years gets a bit old for us in the wedding industry. Sure, it's pretty but it's also very limiting in the products available to use because there aren't too many blush colored flowers. It starts to feel a bit like the movie Groundhog Day when you have blush after blush after blush wedding so when presented with color schemes like Grace & Dylan's I get very excited. Bold fuchsia, rich plum, warm copper, navy blue, dark green and gold accents….yes please! I loved how this all came together at the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs last December. I'm usually not a huge feather fan but they worked really well with the play on textures and the richer color scheme. Thanks Grace & Dylan for letting me have fun with your flowers!

Amanda and Tony were married at the peak of ranunculus season. The blooms were so big and full of petals they looked more like roses than ranunculus. I'd die to have these year round. The palette was soft and feminine accented with foliage of dusty miller and cut herbs. A perfect spring affair held in the quant garden at the Christmas House Inn. You'd never be able to tell but Amanda was 5 months pregnant at the time of the wedding. I bet their baby is due any day now. Congrats to Amanda, Tony and their little one!

We were thrilled when asked to help out with decor for the Los Angeles BLOGSHOP. This 2 day workshop taught by Bri Emery and Angela Kohler has become quite popular with classes held across the world. They teach the necessary and relevant skills of Photoshop to help bring any amateur's, or not so amateur, blog to the next level design wise. Natalie Shriver, an LA based prop stylist, created some kick-ass backdrops and patterns for the event. We collaborated with her on the floral decor, in this case interesting plants, to make for a cohesive design that was oh so LA and oh so fun in look and feel. Thanks for having us along ladies!

It's pretty awesome when you're admiring a website and the craftsmen/women on it one week and then the next that same site randomly asks you to do a tutorial that will be featured on their blog. I was floored…to say the least.
Madesmith is a great site that features artisans and creators whom are helping preserve the idea of craftsmanship within everyday culture. They appreciate quality over quantity and aim to bring you a solid array of beautiful products while promoting mindful consumption. I stand behind all that they represent so was very honored when asked to do a tutorial on flower arranging. I had a great time chatting with their writer Meredith while she snapped the lovely pictures shown below. Be sure to head on over to their blog for the feature and don't forget to check out their full site.

How gorgeous and adorable is 5 month pregnant Mollie in these pics?!?! I love her little baby bump. They were married at the Padua Hills Theater last January. The cozy venue offered a great escape for the rainy day where friends and family gathered to celebrate. I hope Mollie, Eric and thier little baby are all doing well!

Isn't it dreamy? She let me "do my thing" on her bridal bouquet and it's one of my favorite of the year.

HI guys! I'm up to my ears in wedding season work but wanted to share this sweet wedding I did last December. It was fun working with such a bright color scheme in mid winter and Francine added some of the cutest details to their wedding with her drawings. It was freezing out that day but you'd never be able to tell by the smile that was upon Francine and Evan's face the entire day. Such troopers!
