Currently reading “Let My People Go Surfing” by #yvonchouinard, the founder and owner of @patagonia, and feeling sad about the destructiveness of humans not only in business but everyday life. We are wrecking our environment at a shocking rate and need to shift our ways of living immediately in order to save the earth. For years I’ve been torn working with flowers due to the wastefulness and how bad it is for the environment. The #nofloralfoam movement has taken ground but what about the fact that so many flowers are shipped across the world, nearly every 10 stems are wrapped in a plastic sleeve, the extreme amounts of water needed for growth, the pesticides used on many, the dyes and spray paint used in current floral trends, etc, etc, etc. The issue needs to be more than just about floral foam, it needs to be about better business practices in general. I can’t help but see the irony in creating beauty with nature all the while destroying our environment. And for what…a 6 hour wedding or a backdrop that will be instagrammed by influencers then torn down? I have a hard time stomaching it lately and for the last few years have cut back on business partially due to this fact. I’m aiming for my next career journey to be something I can feel good about in terms of the environment and also hope to start educating my customers/consumers in the flower world more readily about seasonality and sourcing locally. I feel the need to help reverse what harm I’ve been doing as a florist the last 13 years. Thanks for reading my thoughts while in the studio today and oh btw... @patagonia, you hiring? 😉

Valentine’s ordering is live! Tag your partner if you live in LA and would enjoy pretties from T&T! 💗

I love the range of hues available at this time of year. Color is my biggest inspiration and I love to play so when given free range on projects I’m happiest. Most often the final palette comes together in the early morn during my market buy.

Valentine’s is around the corner. Get your orders in! Arrangements for delivery are now live on our site. 💗

The jasmine tendrils were calling my name at market this morn.

Missing the liveliness of the shop today. Winter/spring was my favorite time of year to fill it with flowers. 💛

Oh hi! 👋🏼 Been off the gram lately. First post of 2020. Hope the new year has been treating you all well!

Just got back photos from this sweet fall wedding. Had to share the bouquets. 📷 by @ryanhorban.

A lovely photo of ceremony decor shot by @ginaryanphoto from a wedding earlier this year.

We had fun working with the @danielwellington crew on a special Friendsgiving celebration last night! Thanks for having us along!

🦚 with a side of 🎨.

The late fall peachy cafes are my favorite.

Headed east to find fall colors while LA bakes into a further color of brown. 🍁

Wreath season! 🍂

Was asked to incorporate sunflowers into an arrangement to commemorate a family member of the last wedding we did. Had to play around a bit but worked them nicely into the blush, dusty rose, peach and coffee color palette. Check out the sweetheart table a few posts back to see what the rest of the wedding looked like. 💛

Ila’s bridal bouquet. Congrats! 🍾

Sweetheart table looking 👌🏼.

When spring meets fall.

Bridal bouquet for today’s wedding. Congrats Rachel & Allen!

Rarely post anymore but here’s a pretty palette I worked with yesterday. Is it just me or does Instagram feel less and less relevant lately? 🤔

Lady in red. 💃🏼

A shot from yesterday’s backyard wedding! Thanks for battling it out in the heat with me and for taking this photo @mollyalissa.

That ranunculus.💔

Andddd...we’re back.

Thanks for all your patience while the out of office responder is on! Back to your regularly scheduled program and LA deliveries in early September.

Vacation starts now. 🎉

Heading to Europe for most of August in celebration of turning 40 this week. 🎂 Any recommendations on must-see flower shops, gardens and design orientated shopping in Paris, Florence, Rome and Sicily (Palermo & Noto Valley primarily) would be appreciated!

Yesterday’s ceremony arrangements. (Kicking myself for not taking photos of them in front of a more neutral back drop. 🤦🏼‍♀️Doh!)

Cute bouts, dirty hand...the life of a florist. #cutebouts

Blasting the AC and creating blushy goodness today.

Busy week at the studio. This event went out the door yesterday. Loved the soft palette and textures.

Neutrals. 🌾

Styled a shoot for @fuggiamo last week! Shot by the talented @deborahfarnault. Was a fun day in the studio with a lovely crew. Be sure to check them both out.

Summer!

Juicy. 💦

Leftovers.

Peonies still poppin’!

She’s perfect.

Fluffy ☁️

Dinner party ready.

Stepped out of my usual comfort zone a bit for this requested arrangement celebrating the birth of a baby boy. 💙

Hand tied babe for a past wedding client’s anniversary celebration. Love when I can continue to create for the couples I provided wedding floral decor for in years past. Happy anniversary Bora & Seth!

For the chef in your life. Basil & artichokes!

Wild child going out the door for delivery today.

Basil blossoms sneaking in from the back. 🖤

Peony season...please don’t go.

Pretty in pink. 🎀

Throwing it back to this goof. I prefer a gifted bouquet wrapped in paper over a vase arrangement, even if a bit impractical at times.

Such a softie.

Still taking Mother’s Day orders for delivery tomorrow! Order online by EOD!

Peonies make my job look easy.

She’s a sexy beast.
